Deanne Howlett, Treasurer

Deanne Howlett (she/her) is a cis, white, settler who is passionate about fostering safer spaces for all individuals to live, learn, and grow. A registered social worker, Deanne completed her BSW in 2015 and a Bachelor of Arts in 2016 and is currently a Master of Social Work student with Wilfred Laurier University. Deanne is Program Manager at YWCA St. John’s, where she has worked in various capacities since 2014, including as Acting Executive Director. Her current role is focused on project management, program development, staff supervision, and building rewarding collaborations within community. She strives to engage in justice doing, being mindful of how systems of power, colonization, and racism play a role in gender equity. Outside of work, Deanne enjoys a good book and is a reality TV aficionado.
