About the event
In this webinar, we will hear from industry leaders such as Dr. Archana Vidyasankar, a community private practice Psychiatrist in St. John's, Newfoundland, with a focus on perinatal mental health and women's health; Jillian Ashick-Stinson, recent Midwifery graduate, with a passion for midwifery accessibility, choice of birthplace, and reproductive justice; Deirdre Maguire, representing Birth Justice NL, a provincial reproductive healthcare consumer group working towards equitable access to family centred evidence based perinatal care for families across Newfoundland and Labrador; and, Ledon Byrne, representing Faces of Fertility NL, a widely supported social media campaign to advocate for, and improve fertility and reproductive options and access in Newfoundland and Labrador. This webinar was inspired by the work of the Collective, a youth (18-30) advisory group with YWCA St. John's focusing on social justice, intersectional feminisms, and anti-oppression. The Collective is for youth in St. John's and surrounding areas, and is open to young women and gender-diverse folks that are comfortable in women-centered spaces!
