World Maternal Mental Health Week:
May 4th-10th 2026
We focus on perinatal mental health this week for the millions navigating the difficult journey through fertility, loss, pregnancy and parenthood. Here at home in NL, 28% of women and birthing parents have identified struggling during their pregnancy and postpartum. These rates are higher than the national average of 23%.
Let's start here and now to make changes so that our generations can be healthy for years to come.

Flora's Walk 2026
This year marks the 5th annual Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health fundraiser!
During the month of May, World Maternal Mental Health Month, numerous walks are held across Canada to raise funds for perinatal mental health services in local communities and to honour the memory of Flora, a Canadian mother who tragically died due to undetected and untreated postpartum psychosis.
We honour Flora and all those who have lost their lives to perinatal mental illness and fight for those struggling to receive care.
